What We Do
Since 1995, our goal at the Glasgow Education Foundation has been to provide enhanced educational opportunities for the 2000 plus students attending Glasgow Independent Schools. Through the generosity of our donors, we reach our goal through various programs.
Through our Classroom Grant Program, Glasgow Independent School teachers, administrators, or staff apply to the G Fund to purchase new, creative, or innovative projects for their classrooms. These grants can be to introduce a new learning concept, idea, or curriculum; purchase learning materials or technology; or provide classroom enrichment field trips not currently budgeted by the district. Earnings from the Glasgow Education Foundation's general fund provide money for these grants.
Our Senior Scholarship Program provides graduating seniors scholarship money to help pay for post-secondary educational opportunities. Donors may choose from the following scholarship funds to which to designate their contributions:
Karl Weis Memorial
Joe T and Alice Elliott Math Scholarship
George and Mary Florence Whiteside Scholarship
Marvin L. Worthington Scholarship
Scotty Martin Scholarship
