Welcome to Highland Elementary School. You are visiting the site of the most wonderful school in the world. I am the fortunate Principal that works with 680 students, custodians, cooks, instructional assistants, secretaries, FRYSC staff, teachers, and administrative staff members, and I love our school.
We have award winning programs such as Lego League, Academic Team (District and Regional Winner in 2012), STLP, and Jr. Beta (sent two students to national competition this year). Additionally, the music and art departments produce a musical each year with our fourth and fifth graders that is second to none. We also have a very supportive PTO (Parent Teacher Organization). They support us by sponsoring annual events such as Deck the Halls, Cookie Dough Sales, field trips, etc. But, I must say our best feature is our loving and caring staff. The teachers and workers here love the children, and they display that every day.
Now we’re not perfect, but Highland Elementary is an exciting place to be. Come join us; you’ll see what I mean.
