UPS Tuition Assistance Opportunity LOOPS UPS Logo

UPS will be at GHS to speak with students & parents about tuition incentives for Metropolitan College and the KY LOOP program. These programs offer free tuition and in some cases housing for students who work for UPS while attending the University of Louisville or Jefferson Community & Technical College.  Please join us to learn more about making college more affordable.

Spring Preview Night Spring Preview Night

Approximately 50% of the current 8th grade students and their parents visited Glasgow High School for the Spring Preview Night for Rising Freshmen event. Spring Preview Night was the idea of Mr. Mark Gibson, the Marketing and Business teacher at GHS. Mr. Gibson came up with the idea to showcase elective courses and clubs available to the incoming freshmen. According to Gibson, “freshmen need to know more about the elective courses offered at GHS so they can make informed choices when it comes to their schedules. This event is a starting step for freshmen thinking about career pathways and what they might want to study.”

Chromebooks in the Classroom GHS Crest

Earlier this semester, the freshmen students of Glasgow High School received Chromebooks for utilization in their classrooms to expand their knowledge and skills. The students have been using their Chromebooks in several classes, ranging from math and English classes, to BioMedical Sciences and Engineering classes.

Getting To Know GHS Edwana Goodson

Edwana Goodson has been teaching art at Glasgow High School for the past 24 years. Specifically, she has taught or is currently teaching Art 1, 2, 3, and 4, Humanities, Sculpture, Painting, and AP Studio Art (Drawing, 2D Design, and 3D Design). Goodson enjoys teaching the AP art subject because it is class in which the “students apply everything they have learned in the lower level art courses to create a college level art portfolio.”
