Glasgow Independent Schools

Students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade recently completed the Physical Fitness Test. Fourteen volunteers from the community assisted Mr. Haynes, PE teacher, in administering the test. The fitness testing program seeks to encourage students to recognize the characteristics of a physically fit person and to take responsibility for their own physical fitness level. Test results will help identify areas that need improvement. Individual goals will be set for each student. In the spring, students will be tested again to see if they have met their goals.
Mr. Haynes is very proud of the students at South Green Elementary. He says, "The students at SGE always amaze me at how hard they try during each part of the test. I truly believe the students gave 100% effort."
