I'm very excited to be joining the GHS family this year as head volleyball coach and science teacher, and to bring my love of all things science to the students of Glasgow. I grew up in Atlanta, GA, where I received my bachelor's degree in biology from Reinhardt Colllege (now Reinhardt University). GO EAGLES! I then moved to Bowling Green to pursue my master's degree in biology at WKU, studying population genetics of darters (fish) living in streams around Barren River Lake. WKU is also where I discovered that I had a love for teaching. After earning my master's degree, I spent the next 5 years in St. Louis, MO pursuing my Ph.D. at Saint Louis University. During my time there, I continued to study habitat use and genetics of darters, and developing my craft as a teacher.

I'm a firm believer in pursuing every opportunity that is presented to you. My hope, as an educator, is to show my students that there are a plethora of opportunities in the science field. From medicine, to conservation, research, policy and beyond...there is something for everyone that is curious and has the desire to question the world around them.

I can't wait to have your children in class! Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have!
