Welcome. I teach AP Language and Composition, Pre-AP Sophomore English. I am also the composition team coach. All class materials and assignments are handled through Google Classroom.

Welcome! I am a 2003 Glasgow graduate. I joined the Army National Guard after a year of college at University of Kentucky. During my time in the military, I served a tour in Iraq while writing a weekly column for the Glasgow Daily Times. Upon my return, I worked as a reporter for a little over a year for the paper and returned to school at Western Kentucky University.

Somewhere during my personal adventures, I discovered my passion for teaching others. As a sergeant in the military, I often found my role to be that of teacher to junior enlisted. While in school, I often (informally) found myself the leader of tutoring sessions. I realized this was my true passion -  it combined my love of writing and literature, with my love of helping others! I graduated from WKU December 2010 (Magna Cum Laude).

I worked for half a year at Metcalfe County High School, but upon hearing there was an opening at my alma mater, I jumped at the opportunity. I love Glasgow's pursual of excellence and their dedication to challenging students to reach new goals.

I look forward to meeting each of my students and learning together as we explore the power of language!

"All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated; God employs several translators; some pieces are translated by age, some by sickness, some by war, some by justice; but God's hand is in every translation, and his hand shall bind up all our scattered leaves again for that library where every book shall lie open to one another." - John Donne "Meditation XVII"
