Glasgow Independent Schools
The Glasgow Independent School
System would like to announce that all four schools: Glasgow High School,
Glasgow Middle School, South Green Elementary and Highland Elementary will
be accepting parent nominations March 15-18 with parent elections scheduled
for March 19th.
The following guidelines
apply:
• Parents who are nominated or who wish to vote must have a child “pre-registered
to attend” the school for next year. In other words, if your child is in
grade 5 this year in a K-5 school, you are eligible to vote in the election for
the middle school, but not for the elementary school. If your child is in grade
8 this year in a 6-8 school, you are eligible to vote in the election for the
high school but not the middle school.
• Parents who would like to nominate themselves or another parent in a particular school needs to pick up a nomination form from the office of the appropriate school and return that nomination form in person to the office of that school by March 18.
• Parents may vote for parent members at the appropriate school where their child attends or is registered to attend from 7:30 a.m. through 6:00 p.m. on March 19.
