Congratulations to Mrs. Steen: Excellence in Teaching Award Ms. Steen has been nominated for the Campbellsville University's annual Excellence in Teaching Award. Mrs. Steen teaches fourth grade and has been at SGE for 16 years.
Barren River Soccer Club: Registration Thru March 26 Registration for the 2010 Spring Season of the BRSC will be held until March 26th. BRCS is open to both boys & girls ages 6 through 18.
PTO Election Results Elections for 2010-2011 PTO Officers were held March 2nd. Officers for next year are as follows.

SGE Offering Preschool: 2010-2011 Register Now South Green Elementary is THRILLED
to announce that we will be offering preschool for the 2010-2011
school year!!
We will be
offering a morning session and an afternoon session 4 days a week, Monday
through Thursday. We would love for you to call our office or come in
and speak to us if you have a preschool age child who may meet the requirements
to attend our preschool next year. We are excited to get this registration
started and the space is limited, so register early!
When you register, we will need a copy of the child’s birth certificate,
social security card, immunizations, physical and eye exam. Also, new
this year, we will need by January 1, 2011, a dental exam. If you need
assistance obtaining ANY of these items, please let us know and we will
be more than happy to help you! Again, if you have any questions,
please call 651-3806 and ask to speak to Mr. Philbeck or Mrs. Wilkinson
about sending your child to preschool. The Amazing Attendance Race We are so excited to inform you about our Amazing Attendance Race!! Check out our bulletin board in the entrance hallway.We are encouraging ALL of our students to make EVERY effort from TODAY, January 19th till the last day of school, to be at school *ON TIME Every student who fulfills these requirements will be eligible on the last day of school for a multitude of prizes!! Such hings as… CASH, Tickets to a Hot Rods game (Student will be invited to throw the FIRST PITCH), tickets to the Corvette Museum, free movie tickets, and much MUCH more! ALSO, the classroom with the highest percentage EACH MONTH will be rewarded with CLASS PRIZES…a trip to the movies is the reward for the first judging period!! We need parental supportto make this a success. Attendance is KEY to a successful education and prepares our children for the world of work and responsibility! Please help us do our part by ensuring that your child is at school EVERY DAY, ALL DAY, ON TIME. Children are to be in the classroom BY 7:40 each morning in order to be counted ON TIME and we dismiss at 2:20 each fternoon.
