Family Resource Center Information: SGE FRC serves EVERY student and their families, at no charge!
FRC Purpose: The purpose of the FRC is to remove non-cognitive barriers to learning and help improve student’s academic success.
FRC Mission Statement: To enhance students’ abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote: *Early learning and successful transition into school *Academic achievement and well-being *Graduation and transition into adult life
Services offered: *Assistance with full-time child care for children 2 and 3 years of age *Assistance with after school child care for children 4 to 12 years of age *Families in training through home visits, group meetings, and information for new and expectant parents *Parent and child education including GED referrals, book swap, lending reference books, videos, and referrals *Support and training for child care providers *Health services and referrals to health services *Assistance with basic needs (clothing, food, school supplies, etc.) *Collaboration with community agencies *Back-To-School Bash *Holiday Assistance *Provide educational speakers and programs for students *Red Ribbon Week activities for drug prevention *Coordinator of school volunteer program *Assistance with any problems between school and home |
