In April 2009, Highland Elementary was awarded a five year grant to provide an After School Enrichment Program. The after school program is funded by a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant. The Highland Kids Club will be focusing on providing homework assistance, a healthy, nutritious snack, and lots of fun enrichment activities, including Archery Club, Dance Team, Choir, Cooking Club, and much more.
The program is available every day that school is open from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Bus transportation home will be available for after school participants. There will also be an Early Bird program available for early drop-off and study time. The doors will be open at 6:30 a.m. with supervision.
The fee for the Highland Kids Club After School Program is $2.00 per day, or $1.00 per day if your child is on free/reduced lunch. There is a discounted rate if you choose to pay for the entire year at the beginning of the school term. There is no extra charge for the Early Bird program.
You must register for the Kids Club After School Program and the Early Bird program by picking up a registration form at Highland Elementary.
