Dr. Lessenberry graduated from Glasgow High School in 1972 and from Western Kentucky University Summa Cum Laude and was awarded distinction of "Scholar of the College". He then attended the University of Louisville Medical School and completed Orthopedic Surgery residency at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, Louisiana and Sports Medicine training at Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles, California. He was instrumental in establishing the Barren County YMCA and is currently serving at chief volunteer officer. Dr. Lessenberry also helped to establish the Glasgow High School Alumni Association. Dr. Lessenberry and his wife Pamela have four children attending Glasgow schools -- MacLean, Palmer, Hewett, and Creighton.
